Explain the difference between a scientific theory and scientific law

First I would like to tell you that this question belongs in the science section Secondly, I am not sure of the answer But I think that scientific law gets you the same result every time no matter what. A Scientific theory usually gives out the correct results, but is not proven to work under every circumstance.
