I have an idea! Please design a beautiful button for "Delete" :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Like "Best response" button.

OpenStudy (aravindg):

What do you want to delete?

OpenStudy (swag):

You can ask a Mod to delete the question for you. :)

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Delete would defeat some of the intentions of \(\bbox[#4bb8ed,2px]{\rm\color{white}{Open}}\bbox[#a9cd87,2px]{\rm\color{white}{Study}}\). If you watch the interviews and lectures Preetha has done, OS is aiming to be a long term and reliable record of your ability to properly interact in a group situation, show your history as a team contributor, and showcase similar parts of an individual's identity. So lets say a person uses OS to cheat their way through math. Posts all their test questions very carefully and manages to get away with it. Or, they post up spam, tolling question, or are always posting in the wrong groups even when asked to stop this? How is their any long term accountability if they can delete their questions? Also, if you delete a thread, all the medals in that thread are also deleted. This means that other OS users can get punished because someone decided to clean out some old questions. Now, I would love it is mods could move questions. Then the off topic stuff could be moved to an on topic area, which would help solve one issue without causing losses to prior posters. It would also need to put a notice in the message, "This message was moved by a moderator. Please remember to post in the proper subjects. See the Code of Conduct for more on this policy."

thomaster (thomaster):

Beautiful buttons like these?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Nicely done,Thomaster:)

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Nag, that is not big and beautiful. Perhos they meant:

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Minus the spelling errors.... some days my brain and typed words go very odd directions. Lysdexics of the morlb untie!

thomaster (thomaster):

Well I just made a screenshot :P but those buttons are nice too

OpenStudy (dumbsearch2):

@e.mccormick Big does not always mean subtle or beautiful. And that looks sucky.

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Think minimalist... think uniform design...

OpenStudy (dumbsearch2):

Are you sarcastic?

OpenStudy (dumbsearch2):

And I find OP's request so pointless.

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

What, you think a surrealist button would be better? More like these?

OpenStudy (dumbsearch2):

Sarcasm confirmed. ;)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no,no guys! i mean please design a beautiful button for "Delete"...see:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it's not very beautiful!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@e.mccormick realized what i meant,i mean this:

OpenStudy (aravindg):

I think the buttons would get crowded if you do that.

OpenStudy (anonymous):
