What is the slope of a line that is parallel to y = -2/3 x + 8? Help please

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Parallel lines never intersect, therefore they must have the same slope.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Then what would the slope be?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The same as in the line you have, (-2/3) because that's what's multiplied by the x term and the line is of form y=mx+b

oooh ok I see
