-4y + 17 less than or greater to 29 Part 1: Solve the inequality above. Part 2: Describe the graph of the solution

OpenStudy (anonymous):

there is no such thing as "less than or greater to"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its -4y</29 </=less than or equal to my mistake

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1) subtract 17 from both sides 2) divide both sides by -4, and change the inequality since -4 is negative

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so it would be >/3 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

close when you divide \(12\) by \(-4\) you get \(-3\) so \[y\geq -3\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so how would I describe the graph of the solution?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

closed circle at \(-3\) shade to the right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Select the inequality that corresponds to the given graph. a number line graph with a closed circle at 2, shading to the right.
