Factor z3 + 2z2 - 9z - 18. In complete sentences, explain the process that you followed to factor the polynomial. Include the final factored form in your answer.

first, considering you have 4 terms total, we can factor by grouping. group the first 2 terms, and then the second 2 terms. (z3 + 2z2) (-9z - 18) ---> then factor out a multiple so that the terms inside both parentheses are the same --------- ---> z2(z + 2)-9(z + 2) ((( it still = z3 + 2z2 - 9z - 18 ))) then take the terms outside of the parenthesis and group them -----------------------------> (z2 - 9) , put that <---- next to the terms inside the original parentheses -----------------------> (z2 - 9)(z+2) ------> z = 3 , -3, and -2
