can somebody, anybody please help me find the median to a trapezoid?

OpenStudy (owlcoffee):

split it into two triangles.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

maybe it's not a trapezoid, it looks like this |dw:1379126925778:dw|

Directrix (directrix):

Here is the theorem you need: The median of a trapezoid has measure one-half the sum of the measures of the two bases of the trapezoid. 7 + x = (1/2)* (x + 6 + 3x + 8) Solve that equation for x. Then substitute the value of x you get into the expression 7 + x to get the length of the median. @Bbambino1976
