Given vectors u and v such that uv=−2I+9J+2K find: v x u? (u x v) • (u x v)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ive already got v x u = 2i+-9j+-2k

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(u x v) • (u x v)? i thought it was -4+-81+-4 but that is wrong

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Dot products don't return vectors.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-4-81-4=89

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't know what you're computing, but I want some of it too.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It said that was wrong

OpenStudy (psymon):

Yeah, youre not going to get uv to be a vector, only a number. So maybe the problem is stated wrong?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

got it as 89. was it supposed to be absolute value?
