What is the best analogy to understand electrical circuit analysis

OpenStudy (08surya):

mechanical system

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i usually picture current flow as a river flow..

OpenStudy (08surya):

ryt.

OpenStudy (08surya):

electrical ciruit is very much similar to water tanks.if we connect to water tanks then the flow of water is from higher level of water to lower level of water.and if water level is same then there is no flow.in electrical circuit deference of water level we considered as potential difference and flow of water is considered as flow of current.so if potential difference is zero then no current will flow but if potential difference exist then current will flow

Actually I never liked any analogy's to electronics. It is self contained and historically they used electronic analog computers to simulate mechanical system. To use an analogy requires you have some knowledge to base it on and as a new student one general doesn't.
