Aquatic? Do you mean to say "wet" conditions or conditions where there is an ample supply of water? The answer requires a bit of logical thinking. If a plant needs a lot of water, why do you think it CAN'T survive in arid (dry) conditions? Because that environment does not satisfy the plant's higher requirement of water.
