how to solve........ limit x approaches 1 ^ - [2x] and limit x approaches 1^+ [2x] , whereas the answers are 1 and 2 respectively, kindly solve it with explanation........plzzz

I guess this should read as:\[\Large \lim_{x \to 1^+} 2x \] The limit approached from the right and: \[\Large \lim_{x\to 1^-}2x \] the limit approached from the left, however, this limit exist and it's 2, I don't see how the answers should turn out to be 1 and 2.

but its answer is 1 for left hand limit and 2 for right hand limit
