Subract 2 both sides 3x+2=x-10 -2 -2 ======== 3x=x-12 Bring x left side 3x-x=-12 2x=-12 Divide -12 with 2 x=-12/2 x=-6

ok when working problems like this you get the x on one side 3x+2=x-10 subtreact x from both sides 2x +2=-10 subtract the 2 from both sides 2x=-12 so now dived both by 2 x=-6 Any questions or confusions???
