is there a solution to this system of equations?

2x – 4y = 12 3x – 6y = 21 i didn't get a solution but i just wanted to double check.

2x – 4y = 12 3x – 6y = 21 simplify x – 2y = 6 x – 2y = 7 subtract x – 2y = 6 x – 2y = 7 ------------- 0 = -1 its not possible !!! so NO SOLUTION
