Use the elimination method to solve the system of equations. a+6b=-1 a+4b=-3 Is there one solution if so what is it? infinitely many solutions or no solutions.

OpenStudy (homeworksucks):

There should be infinitely many solutions if they are equivalent to each other. (i.e one equation is just the other times something), zero solutions if they have the same slope but not y-intercept, and one if they share neither slope nor y-intercept.
