Find and simplify the difference quotient f(x + h)− f(x) / h for the following function. f(x) = 8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[f(x)=8\] as in the constant \(8\)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if so you can almost do it in your head, since both \(f(x+h)=8\) and also \(f(x)=8\) so the numerator is zer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats all it says is 8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok then it is zero

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh wow that was easy, thanks!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah, it was in two more days you will know that "the derivative of a constant is zero"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh joy, looking forward to it
