what does "(s)" mean after a compound? For example FezO3(s).

this is not chemistry section. the 's' means solid.

these are chemical reactions in which states of matter are denoted (s) = solid (l) = liquid (g)= gas ther are other things like uparrow mark = liberated down arrow mark = precipitated delta (a small triangle over the equal to sign) which shows heating and some molecules have a " .Xh20" which shows water of hydration example (fe2O3.6H2O) but yea post it in chem section :P
