Tom and Pam measure the volume of water in a graduate cylinder. Do you expect both measurement to be the same. If not, why.

It depends on the accuracy of the measuring device I suppose, as well as temperature and pressure.

I suppose it depends on whether or not Tom and Pam read the measuring instrument in exactly the same way.

Well, it does have a measurement mark, so it should be pretty close. It would never be the same number of atoms but it would be very close. if it wasn't graduated, then the difference would be much higher.

not sure how you want to answer that, yes- graduated no - to within the level of the graduations
