How to evaluate the following limits:
1. lim x--->5 of 8?
2. lim x--->0.001 (x+7) ?

The first one is continuous:

for the first one \[\lim_{x \rightarrow a} c = c \] c is the constant

for the 2nd one, you just have to add 7 to .001. it only means that that x is slowly approaching 7.001 but will never touch it.
