guys want u to help me with this question what is importance of light dependat reaction in the process of photosynthesis
In light dependent reaction light of different wavelengths is absorbed which is then used as a form of energy. This is just in short
Which grade are you.
Photosynthesis is the process by which plants, some bacteria, and some protistans use the energy from sunlight to produce sugar, which cellular respiration converts into ATP, the "fuel" used by all living things. The conversion of unusable sunlight energy into usable chemical energy, is associated with the actions of the green pigment chlorophyll. Photosynthesis is the series of chemical reactions that makes food in these organism. The fruit and vegetable that we eat grow because of photosynthesis. Photosynthesis help supplies our earth's atmosphere with oxygen to help us breathe and stay alive. The carbon dioxide produced by us would be really toxic if there wasn't photosynthesis to take in. Light Dependent Reactions This is the initial stage of photosynthesis where solar energy is converted into potential energy ,the light Dependent Reaction produces oxygen gas and converts ADP and NADP+ into ATP and NADPH To sum up... Photosynthesis is directly related to the life and survival of all the other living creatures on earth. It not just supplies oxygen without which breathing and being alive would be difficult, but it also supplies food and energy to all. Among all the living organisms on planet earth only plants are capable of producing their own food and deriving energy from it. No other living creature can produce their food and thus, depend on plants or other creatures which feed on plants to survive. Therefore, by producing energy the plants supply all the necessary nutrients and energy directly and/or indirectly to the other living creatures. The production of this energy is possible through Photosynthesis.
Light-dependent reactions are important to the Calvin cycle because during photosynthesis, light energy is used to generate NADPH and ATP The light-independent Calvin cycle uses NADPH and ATP to convert carbon dioxide and water into organic compounds that can be used by the organism(plants) to make food.
