Check this website out: @Spandora http://www.rsc.org/chemsoc/visualelements/pages/data/intro_groupi_data.html

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@MichaelZein Would that be a physical or chemical property? or just something in common.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Its just the name of the group.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@courtney7200 Oh..well that's good cause I needed that too. Thank you. I don't see anything on group 7 in the link you gave me .

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it should say the chemical and physical properties.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

opps wrong link for this question. im sorry. ill find the link.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@courtney7200 Thank you so much :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you're welcome

OpenStudy (aaronq):

They're not alkaline metals, they're transition metals. Some physical properties would be high melting point (because of metallic bonds), electrical conductivity (thanks metallic bonds and d electrons). Chemical properties can include a wide range of oxidation states (lability of d electrons).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@aaronq That's what I thought..Transition Metals. But that's the name of a lot of elements, I was wondering if there's a specific name for the group. Like hologens.

OpenStudy (aaronq):

nope, there isn't.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@aaronq Oh, Okay. Thank you :)

OpenStudy (aaronq):

no problem !
