The voume of a sphere is approximately 44.6022 centimeters. what is the radius of a sphere, to the nearest tenths of a centimeter?

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

well the volume of a sphere is found using the formula \[V = \frac{4}{3} \pi r^3\] you know V... so substitute and then solve for r

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How do i find r ?

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

ok... take your known volume and 1.. multiply by 3 2. divide by 4 3. divide by pi 4. take the cube root in other words... do the opposite of what happenening on the right hand side of the equation...
