well, if someone repeatedly tells you about something materialistic, that is a starter. If said person begins to talk about how much they want to change something physically about themselves and when given a compliment, throws it right into the ground. When a person cares about their appearance they begin to feel like an outcast, and will do anything to be 'accepted' into the crowd they want to be seen in. It's when they dump all of their friends and morals, ethics and ideas for something that truly isn't who they are. That means they are willing to risk everything they have to feel like they fit in.
