Unit Rate: Hike 5 mi in 2 h 10 min?

terenzreignz (terenzreignz):

Just divide the number of miles by the number of hours, and you'll get the rate in miles per hour. Note that 2h 10 min is 2 and 1/6 hours...

But i need the Unit rate.

terenzreignz (terenzreignz):

I've already told you how to get it :) Here's an example... Suppose we have 20 miles in 2 hours 30 minutes. 2 hours 30 minutes is just 2.5 hours. So the unit rate would be 20 divided by 2.5, or 8 miles per hour.

Ok thanks i get it now.
