List the ordered pairs in the relation R from A = {0, 1, 2, 3, 4} to B = {0, 1, 2, 3} where (a, b) ϵ R if and only if a + b = 4.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you understand what this means? for example \((1,3)\) is in R since \(1+3=4\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So basically I need to list the ordered pairs that would equal 4?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

easy right? that is why my first question was "do you understand what this means?"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm not really great in math and I've been looking for what the e symbol means to better understand it... but after your example, yeah its really easy. Thanks so much!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(1, 3), (2, 2), (3, 1), (4, 0) so this should be my answer
