@wolf1728 @Venomblast According to the rule of 72, if Katelyn invests $50, $100, and $200 into three separate accounts with the same interest rate, which amount will double fastest? A. $200 B. $100 C. $50 D. All will double at the same rate.

OpenStudy (wolf1728):

If you think about it, you can figure it out. Think of gasoline. Let's suppose in one car you put 2 galllons second car 3 gallons and third car 4 gallons. If they all start at the same time which will be the first one to travel 10 miles?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the one with 4 gallons

OpenStudy (wolf1728):

No - think about it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but it has more gas

OpenStudy (wolf1728):

That's my point - they all have different amounts of gas just as the 3 accounts all have different amounts in them.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sooo?..

OpenStudy (wolf1728):

Okay the answer is D. I didn't mean to complicate the problem with the gasoline comparison. It's just that Open Study doesn't want people giving answers to other people.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea i understand:)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ooooo i understand what you meant now

OpenStudy (wolf1728):

Yes, I figure it's a little better than just saying D.
