That will be the numerator of the probability fraction. The denominator will be 36, the number of possible outcomes of tossing the dice.

There are ten digits: 0. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. For the 3-digit number you are forming, the first digit cannot be 0. So, there are 9 choices for the first digit. The second digit of the 3-digit number can be any of the 10 digits from above. So, there are 10 choices for the second digit. The 3-digit number you are building must be even. An even number ends in 0, 2, 4, 5, or 8. So, there are five choices for the third digit of the 3-digit number. By the multiplication principle for counting, then there are the following number of ways to make 3-digit even numbers. 9 times 10 times 5 which equals ? @lovey222
