Why are bacteria the first organisms to return to an area after fire, flood, glacier movement, etc?
Please help!! Thank you!
Will an Answer God please answer my question tonight?
Ummm. No idea...ill check
THANK YOU! I've looked everywhere online and can't find any info in my textbook.
AND my notes, does it have anything to do with endospores??
Cyst formation across species! In bacteria: In bacteria (for instance, Azotobacter sp.), encystment occurs by changes in the cell wall; the cytoplasm contracts and the cell wall thickens. Bacterial cysts differ from endospores in the way they are formed and also the DEGREE OF RESISTANCE to UNFAVOURABLE conditions. Endospores are much more resistant than cysts...! Makes sense?? :/ Found it from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microbial_cyst
This question is so...:I
So are you saying that endospores are right? Since "endospores are much more resistant than cysts" ? (I know this question sucks..) I appreciate your help.
