Archduke Francis Ferdinand’s assassination triggered World War I when _____. A.Russia refused to come to the aid of Serbia B.Serbia’s alliance with Germany led it to declare war on France C.Serbia refused to comply with Austria-Hungary’s ultimatum D.Italy’s alliance with France forced it to declare war on Germany

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Either C or D, A and B are false. C. is a bit iffy, because Serbia DID comply with the ultimatum, but it still wasn't enough for Austria-Hungary. Italy DID join in on the Allies side, along with the US. But I wouldn't call this he cause of the war.. so I'm stuck on either C or D.

thats the same problem i have:/ lol

but thank you very much :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'd go with D for the simple fact that they did comply with the ultimatum, but sorry if you get it wrong x:

oh thats ok lol :)
