What would one describe as the basis for the subculture of being a student? I am being general when talking about student as a subculture, not describing it as college student or elementary kids, just students.

When talking about students in general, what activities do they do that most other people in society do not do? What differences are their in living conditions, economy, and the patterns of their life?
