when it says the difference between a positive number and a negative number does it mean, x-(-x) or (-x)-x?

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

I'd go with the order in the statement. The positive number comes first, so subtract the negative number from it.

thank you so much !!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

X-(-X)

x - (-x)
