I know this isn't english, but there isn't a spanish section! Okay, so how come when you're like talking about school and stuff you say something like this, "Soy en el colegio." Not "Estoy en el colegio." HELP!

soy en el colegio is identifying you are a student but estoy en el colegio is telling us that you are at college, that is where you are it is your location. For location you conjugate estar for identity you conjugate ser.
