its a word problem ..... its says FITabriNESS: gabriel started training with the track team five weeks ago. during the first week he ran 0.5 mile at each practice. the next three weeks he ran 0.75 mile, 1mile,and 1.25 miles at each practice. if he continues this pattern how many miles will he be running at each practice during the 7th week?

OpenStudy (abb0t):

Form a sequence using the information they tell you. You already know that the start running speed at each practice is as follows 0.5, 0.75, 1, 1.25 and so forth... What does that tell you? \(\sf \color{red}{HINT}\): what's the difference between each interval.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its going up by its decimal

OpenStudy (abb0t):

Yes, but by how much? If it helps, you can convert them to whole numbers by multiplying by 100. Which will give you: 50, 75, 100, 125... Does that help you see by how much???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its going up by 25 in whole numbers but in decimal it would be either 02.5 or 0.25 right ???

OpenStudy (abb0t):

0.25*

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok now wat?

OpenStudy (abb0t):

Yes. So now, check this out: WEEK 1: = 0.5 WEEK 2 = 0.75 WEEK 3 = 1.00 WEEK 4 = 1.25 WEEK 5 = 1.50 WEEK 6 = _.__ WEEK 7 = _.__

OpenStudy (abb0t):

That's assuming he kept the same pattern each week. Now, I'm sure you can figure this out now.

thnk u i just finished it you were a big help...:)
