How do I obtain initial and final velocity if I am given average velocity and time elapsed?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Average velocity can be found through the equation v(avg)=d/t. Use this to solve for the distance, then plug the value into this equation: d=vt+1/2at^2 Rearrange the equation and solve for v to get initial velocity. Once you have that value, use this last equation to solve for final velocity: v(final)=v(initial)+at
