Graph the inequality 3n - 4 is less than or equal to 23

OpenStudy (yttrium):

@iceicebaby , do you have any idea on graphing this kind of inequality?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No that is why i posted this

OpenStudy (yttrium):

It's the same as solving equality sign. Set first this 3n-4 = 23 Therefore, n is equal to what?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so would n be 16

OpenStudy (yttrium):

Yes. But that not end your solution. Because it is stated that 3n-4 is equal or less than right? So, what conclusion can you make?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

idk

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but i think the answer would be either equal to or less than 9 or just less than 9

OpenStudy (yttrium):

Yes. Oh, I forgot to check your answer. hahahaha. n = 9 and therefore your last reply is correct. :))

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok lol

OpenStudy (yttrium):

^^ So can you graph it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes it would be a filled inn cirlcle with the nine pointing left as the arrow right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or here i can show you a picture

OpenStudy (yttrium):

yes :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its that one right

OpenStudy (yttrium):

good :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks
