MEDAL AWARDED :D When constructing inscribed polygons and parallel lines, how are the steps similar? A protractor and ruler are used to take accurate measurements. A compass is used to draw arcs. Four right angles are created. There are no similarities.

@ganeshie8

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

remember this, protractor and ruler are NOT ALLOWED for constructions. so discard that option

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

A compass is used in both constructions, so thats our answer :)

Got it ! thanks !

So with this next one would it be C ? When constructing parallel lines with a compass and straightedge, how should you start the construction? Measure the length of the original line and make an arc. Create a line that intersects the given line with your straightedge. Open the compass to the width of the line and draw two arcs. Use a straightedge to create two arcs above and below the line.

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

you're close ! but no

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

answer is below Create a line that intersects the given line with your straightedge.

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

you shoul knw the construction of a parallel line, to understand this

Okay , makes a little more sense kinda struggling with this chapter :P
