What are the solutions of x2 + 3x − 18 = 0?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x=3, x=-6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(x-3)(x+6)=0 would be the first step and set each one to zero and you got the opposite of those numbers would would be 3 and -6 :)

OpenStudy (e.cociuba):

Using FOIL method: We need to find two numbers that when added together gives a total of 3; And the same two numbers when multiplied together give -18. +6 and -3 satisfy this condition (x+6)(x-3) Solution: x= -6,3 Note: You can do this equation in many ways. I prefer this, considering I believe it is an easier method.
