Given that csc (x) = 5/4, and sec (x) = 5/3, find cos(90–x).

hartnn (hartnn):

hi, do you know what cos (90-x) simplify to ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is it sin(x) because sin and cos are complementary?

hartnn (hartnn):

correct! good and how to get sin x from csc x ?

hartnn (hartnn):

use the relation sin x = 1/csc x and the answer u get for sin x will be same for cos (90-x) :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So it would be 4/5.

hartnn (hartnn):

yes, correct! :)
