a) define the slope between 2 sets of point, if they are the same its linear, if not, then its not linear b) average rate of change is the slope between any 2 points and calculates the "rate of change" or constant speed that it would have taken to cover then same "distance" in the same amount of time. c) using a list on your graphing calculator, minesa ti83; populate List1 and List 2 with the table data. then use STAT, CALC, QuadReg with inputs L1,L2 to have it calculate the regression for it
