Someone help me please? Neveah has created the function f(x)= (2x+4)/3 to represent the growth of her hair, where x represents the number of months since her last hair cut. Neveah discovers that using the INVERSE function to solve x=6, she can predict when her hair will have grown 6 inches. Explain to Neveah how to accomplish this, using complete sentences.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The original function calculates the growth of her hair as a function of time, getting the inverse of this, reverses the situation. The inverse now calculates the time t needed to make her hair grow x inches.

Yea but what do I need to to to find this equation...do I divide?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh. I guess you would have to get the inverse of the original f(x). That will be f (inverse(x))=3((x/2)-4)
