Please help me out ill give u a medal if u give me explanation and the answer interested?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

whats the problem

OpenStudy (anonymous):

F (x) = { x if x < -3 2 if -3 < or equal to x < 1 -2x +2 if x > or eaqual to 1 Its a piecewise equation plz help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@bina_love

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what do you need to do with the piecewise function?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Show me how to graph it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Plz

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay, to graph a piecewise function start by graphing the first part what does the first part f(x)=x, if x<-3 look like? for now just ignore the x<-3 and tell me what f(x)=x looks like

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I honestly dont have a clue

OpenStudy (anonymous):

f(x)=x is the same as y=x which is just a line where all the x values are the same so it goes through the points (-1,-1), (0,0), (1,1) (2,2) just to give a few examples. basically it looks like this:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

|dw:1379463643277:dw|

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I see half of the graph

OpenStudy (anonymous):

But I got it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Its a diagonal line through the center

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay. Well this part of the graph is only right when x is less than -3 so ignore the rest of it, it's just a diagonal line from (-3,-3) down and to the left

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I need to put a few points in a table

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh, so what are the x-values you have for the table?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Make a line thats going horizontal an a vertical to make a table. To answer ur question, the ones that are on x axis I think

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So just where it the function equals 0?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

??? Can u please draw a table or if u want an example of how ask @DebbieG

OpenStudy (anonymous):

|dw:1379465296243:dw|

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is that good?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes but seems like this is gonna take long never mind

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay, let me know if theres anything I can do to help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Its ok ill try and figure it out myself thanx tho
