To make things easy at her yard sale, Tina has decided to price everything at $2 or $5. The total amount of money Tina will make from the yard sale, P, can then be described with the equation P = 2x + 5y. In this equation, what does the variable y represent? A. the number of $2 items sold B. the number of $5 items sold C. the total profit made from $2 items D. the total profit made from $5 items

The answer would be B (the number of $5 items sold), because you're multiplying it by 5 (the cost of each item).

in the equation , the coefficients of x & y are the prices Tina set , and therefore check prices with objects and u will see that x is the number of objects sold at 2$ & y is the number of objects sold at 5 $
