j. slope of a line through P and U

OpenStudy (kirbykirby):

What happens when you plug in h =9/2 into the formula?

OpenStudy (kirbykirby):

9/2 = 4.5 \[\frac{f(1+4.5)-f(1)}{4.5}=\frac{f(5.5)-f(1)}{4.5}=\frac{f(5.5)-f(1)}{5.5-1}\] That last expression look familiar (I hope)
