so x= +4/-4
OK: you can never divide by zero yes, correct
so it breaks on those two points or what?

yes, those points are EXCLUDED because you can't divide by zero
3.999 is included, so is 4.001 however 4.000000000, it is not included
there's no other limitations in this function, so the answer is indeed not continous; undefined at: -4, +4
