The new believs of the new kinds of christians conflicted with the religion of the kingdoms of Europe. People were persecuted. Their best bet was to settle on new land. Later in the 1830s another branch of christianity was also disliked and it has formed within the USA of the time, and forced those believers to move and settle elsewhere on the west.
