suppose that a bag contains 43 red balls, 54 blue balls, and 72 green balls, and that 2 balls are chosen at random without replacement. What is the probability that the 2 balls will have different colors?

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

well won't it be a question where you use complementary events P(2different colours) = 1 -[P(R, R) +P(B, B) + P(G, G)] and remember without replacement P(R, R) = 43/169 x 42/168 hope this helps

yes thank you I finally got it
