On the TI-30XIIS you need to push the 2nd key at the top left corner first, and then the x-1 button right above the 7 key to get the e command.

What are you typing in?
Leave the 10 out of the problem and stick with the e command, the e command acts as the 10. Type whatever number you'd like to multiply, then e, then the amount 10 is multiplied by.
