Now all you have to do is do PEMDAS backwards. (8 / 4) - 4 = your answer.
i dont get it
8 / 4 = 2 2 - 4 = your answer...
distribute the 4 to (r+4) thn you would have 8=4r=16subtract 16 from both sides and you will end up with -8=4r, divide 4 from both sides then your answer is -2
thats what i got but didnt know if it was right thx both of u guys

Now, I know it is confusing because when you think of PEMDAS backwards, you think of subtraction or addition first, but because the addition was in the paranthesis, then you do multiplication first.
