Suppose a single bacterium is placed on an agar plate and the number of bacteria in the population doubles every 30 minutes. How long do you think it would take before there would be 1000 bacteria? Do I just keep multiplying it by 2 so for example: after 30 mins = 60 bacteria after 1 hr = 120 bacteria after 1 hr & 30 mins = 240 bacteria
