@tkhunny is that better

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

Much better. Which is the first you shall attempt?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

number 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

on the top part

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

Can you graph these? y = 2x y = -2 y = x^2 - 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I have

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i just dont understand the graph restraints

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

Okay, now discard the parts outside the given sections of the x-axis. Use y = 2x ONLY for \(-5 \le x \lt -1\) Use y = -2 ONLY for \(-1 \le x \lt 0\) Use y = -2 ONLY for \(0 \le x \le 2\) Erase everthing where x < -5 or x > 2 That should be it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohh ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what about the second part

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

Whoops, sorry. That third one should have been "x^2 - 2" and not a repeat of just "-2". Do you mean the second section where we look at the graph and write the equations? Pick one.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes
