When comparing the graphs of y = x and y > x, what is a difference in the graphs?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y > x is pretty vague, because y could equal any number greater than x. I suppose if you assume that the values of x in the second equation are the same as the ones in y = x, then you would get a steeper slope in y > x.
