I need help in programming C. My professor is using pietty and he puts our homework "inside" it. I put the command "ls -al" and there a "link" to my homework. How do I get in ?

He is using some sort of sshell. "ls" is a unix file list. So it will depend on what sort of access that server allows.

Just use it like you would the file, the link points to the real file (for your purposes) transparently.
